Monday's Moments - 18/06

How do, Lovelies, wasn't that another break neck speed weekend? I for one did shag all either day, apart from heading over to see my Daddio yesterday for the day that was in it. I'd love to know what you got up to but of course that's just because I'm a nose bag.

How about some Monday's Moments though, eh?

1. Waiting Sucks

Last week saw the return of one of my favourite shows, True Blood, the fourth series had started to go a little weird so when series 5 arrived with several bangs I was delighted. The show has veered so far away from the books at this stage that everything is a surprise and that's the way I like it.

There's less Sookie too (Thank Christ), with more nudity, more Pam, more Lafayette and enough Eric to fell a Maenad. I'm in heaven and already counting the hours to episode two!

2. My Bad...

At an all day training session during the week there was only a couple of us so it was impossible to check my phone for messages or mails without seeming rude. Of course that led to 21 voice mails and a bajillion mails by lunchtime.

I'd never been to the training rooms before so as we were leaving my face was stuck in the phone as I followed the last chap out, followed him across the yard and up the opposite ramp. It wasn't until he turned to face me and said 'Eh, Sue, can I help you?' I realised I'd followed him all the way into the Gents! I'm not even joking. I died a little, apologised profusely and got the side eye from him all afternoon. I shouldn't be allowed out.

3. D'awww

The eldest and I trotted along to The Five Year Engagement premiere on Wednesday with the gorgeous Mags from EmeraldEyeliner.com. Not only was the hunk of junk, Jason Segel there too but he had helped organise a surprise for one sweet couple. Watch the vid to see the events unfold, it was lovely to see.

Even lovelier was when Jason himself was leaving I called him back as Aaron is probably his biggest fan, like ever, quick as a shot Aar shoved his hand out and got a big manly handshake and a 'Great to meet you'. Cue himself and Mags shaking hands to transfer the Jasony goodness, both over the moon (I was squeeing too to be honest). Great moment of a great night.

4. Coder Dojo like a Mo' Fo'

At the brilliantly put together Dotconf in the National College of Ireland on Friday, I thought my brain couldn't handle any more, the room was buzzing with ideas and inspiration and then Bill Liao took the stage as keynote speaker. He wanted to introduce us to Coder Dojo and although I didn't realise it until he started to speak, it was the most exciting part of the day.

You can check out James Whelton explaining exactly what a Coder Dojo is here but the premise is about to change the lives of kids the world over and that's not an exaggeration. Needless to say, I've signed both lads up for this free initiative and if you have little or large ones, I'd suggest you think about doing exactly the same.

5. Chalk & Cheese. Wouldn't Have 'em Any Other Way

Here we have a prime example of how different the Gorgebags are but how I wouldn't change 'em for anything. Yep, yesterday was Father's Day and, as I said, we spent the evening with my Dad for supper and chats. It wasn't until I got home that I saw that the eldest had posted the comment above on Facebook. I can't even read it again as it makes me well up. I know I'm biased but he rocks.

Still feeling emotional, I had an email arrive from the youngest who had gone out with friends, no title, no explanation, just this...

They both got a bating, one for making me cry and the other for making me laugh so hard I was crying again. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with them!

That's me for another week, I'd love to know what you've been up to, anything fabulous? Lemme know...

Also the collar is important and should be taken into consideration when you are shopping for sun protection shirts.

They are comfortable, they do not get too hot, they
provide protection from various hazards such as my gravel road, and unlike some competitors they are not prone to smelling bad.

There are many different websites that offer kayaks for sale,

There is a trade-off however that needs to be discussed.
Best of all, a kayak will cost a fraction of the
price of the average fishing boat.
