This has been an incredible week of catching up with loved ones, good pals and probably the first ever that I've managed a Christmas tipple or two WHENEVER I WANTED now that the lads are full grown and out working for themselves. But wait, there's more:

Monday's Moments - 15/12/14

All messing aside now, we're ten days from Christmas - TEN!

In other amazing news we're only one week from longer days again, something I'm genuinely looking forward to. 

As per, it's been an amazing week blog wise, job wise and family wise and these five Moments are just the cherry on top:

Monday's Moments - 24/03/14

Apols for a missing Monday's Moments last week, I was - as most of you were - chilling for St Paddy's Day. We're back in the saddle though and ready to look on the bright side through Moments of delight once more. 

These here are the five Moments that have well and truly chased my Monday Blues away: 

1. Belated Birthday Love

First order of bidness, giving thanks for being completely and totally spoiled for my Birthday on March 16th. 

Nights out and evenings in, flowers and love in abundance all that AND a Momma that had the foresight to give birth to me the day before an annual national holiday so while it was sleepovers at mine when we were younger, it's now ample room for recovery. Nice one, Maw. 

2. Set Your Lasers to STUN for Space NK

Admittedly it's the beauty junkie in me but this article from the Irish Times Business this week really did put a smile on my face. For too long now we've had to put up with only a snippet of Space NK goodness in Harvey Nic's, Dundrum, well it would seem we're in for a treat. 

The cult beauty emporium is set to open its doors on Grafton St and, while my Visa has gone into hiding, the beauty fiend inside me just can't wait for it to arrive. 

3. #KITTEHPROBLEMS

There are many reasons why I am a reluctant cat lady. Yes I love the little torment more than I ever thought I would but when it's just she and I and I'm trying to get stuff done? Fuhgeddabouditt. 

My Mam bought me this little pine table for taking pics and doing nails etc, while sitting as my back isn't the best of late. Thing is, Boo here, has claimed it as her own and anything, ANYTHING that goes on top is promptly pushed off as soon as I turn my head. She's a wagon. In her heart and in her soul. A wagon. 

4. Come Back, Sky, All is Forgiven 

I never thought the switching of television services would qualify as a Moment but I made the decision last week to go back to Sky TV and, seriously now, it's cheered my entire week up. 

We went with Horizon about 6 months ago and it was the worst televisual decision I've ever made. Plagued with problems, skipping channels, breaking picture and dropping broadband signal every 20 minutes, it's been nothing but a nuisance and save for Netflix, the TV has basically sat gathering dust. 

Why didn't I switch back sooner? Empty promises and refunds. Would I recommend Horizon to anyone, ever? Not even if you were the type of person that opens sealed nail polishes in Boots and swatches them on the stands. No. 

5. Five a Side - Stone Style

Finally a Moment that made me gasp, made me well up, then made me question my sister's mental health. @jordanstone4 AKA she with all the bebbehs went for her first scan this week and has announced that nipper number five will be with us in October!

Where she finds the energy (for the raising) I have no idea but Sis, I am absolutely and unequivocally over the blahhdy moon for you and your tribe. Your newest addition couldn't have requested a better party to gatecrash.

Monday's Moments: 25/11/13

Morning, Monday, you were pretty quick coming around again, weren't you? 

You may keep your trademark blues though as these here are 5 Moments from the past week that mean I'm all about the silver linings today:  

1. Traffic Genius

While stuck on a side road for almost ten minutes, three cars behind, running late and with zero chance of getting out to the main road, we were a bit concerned when the driver in front leapt from his car and ran off. 

Looking around to see what was going on, (were we to be extras in Love/Hate?) I saw him stop at the pedestrian light for the main road, press it three times and leg it back to his car. Lo and behold inside of a minute the pedestrian light turned green and we were given a filter. I was aghast, then I was impressed - very impressed. Thank you, random traffic ledgebag!

2. Embarrassing Bee Baw

While waiting roadside for a cab last week, the Sis and I weren't paying much attention to the fumbling teens huggin' and a muggin' (sucking face) on the corner. That was until an ambulance approached gave a short sharp blast of their siren and the most Dublin accent I've heard came on the intercom speaker to shout 'GERROF HER!!' followed by a muffled fit of laugher. 

I'm not sure who found it funnier, the lads in the ambulance, us watching on or any one of the people in the area at the time - not the poor teens though - 'Scarleh' is not the word!

3. Scarlet for my Own Ma!

In the second 'scarleh' related Moment and the second to feature the Sister, this one takes place in Fitzsimon's Hotel where I was to meet her. Running a little late as I missed my stop, I was trying to adjust myself and my heat belt as we left the bar together. 

'Are you OK?' she shouted over the live band, 'Ah I'm grand' I shouted back, 'Just feels like I'm wearing a..' *bands cuts out* (I'm still shouting) TENA LADY!'. Seriously, bandy back or not I hotfooted it out of there. Morto. 

4. My Precious

Any true beauty fan will tell you that once in a while (or all the shaggin' time) there comes a product that is so beautiful it invades your mind, haunts your day, seems to be in everyone's collection but yours and basically turns into your obsession until you can feel it in your very own mitts. For me, this past few months, it's been the limited Tarte Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay blush palette. 

I wasn't going to do a full review as this stunner has already sold out, I managed to get mine through a tipsy eBay purchase (paying €50 with delivery) but should you want to see it (and you should) lemme know in the comments. For now, I kid you not, this precious has been put back into its packaging, ALL of its packaging and I allow myself a little look now and then. I never claimed to be sane when it comes to make up!

5. Escahpay!

I mentioned on Twitter a few weeks back that himself (the clever sausage like him) had won a weekend break to a 4* hotel but we were undecided as to where to head. Killashee House Hotel's funny tweets to me and a hearty recommendation from several family and friends made that decision pretty easy. 

We've literally just arrived home from a weekend of idyllic beauty, opulent surroundings, glorious spa treatments, stunning food and ridiculously friendly staff. I genuinely haven't felt this relaxed or this contented in months, long before my bandy back tales of woe. If you're considering a staycation or even just a tasty lunch, get thee to Naas and Killashee House Hotel. We'll certainly be going back... many, many times.

Monday's Moments: 26th August 2013

I'm going to start right out by saying that if you're reading from the UK then I couldn't be more jealous of you right now. Yes, we've already had ours, no that's no consolation - on the off chance that you've any Monday Blues left to chase away be sure to tell me how you're managing in the comments. 

As for Moi, these Moments are working just fine....

1. A Surprise Blackberry Bonus

What's better than getting hold of one of your all time favourite beauty products? Eh, getting hold of one that you've already paid for, that's what!

I was thrilled to find an Avon bag stashed away in my swim bag in my Mam's, inside the elusive Blackberry Super Shock Liner. Not only have my two been used to nubs but Avon have left us high and dry so I had no way to replace it. This was the back up I'd forgotten about and it pretty much made my week!

2. Slave to the Beeps NO MORE!!

The word 'Quicker' has lost all meaning now, hasn't it?

I have no doubt that I'm not alone in HATING the beeps on the fridge or freezer door to warn you that it's been left open ajar. Thing is, it's almost impossible to do that so they serve only to harass you to the point of break down while trying to make the dinner or stock the fridge. 

We've had this fridge for 3 years now and in that time I've been reduced to screaming 'I'M GOING AS FAST AS I CAN' to the 6ft rectangle of inanimate metal but this week I found out something pretty mindblowing. Hitting the button on the door stops the alarm. IT STOPS THE ALARM, PEOPLE! I feel a mixture of elation and stupidity. Neither more than the other. 

3. New Addiction Alert!

I've made no secret of my grá for goats cheese. I can't get enough of it and tell people, often. One such conversation happened while I was having eats with the lovely Andreea from YourBeauty.ie last week and she let me in on a little something incredible. Aldi Goat's Cheese. 

It's only €1.25, it's in Aldi, IT'S PHENOMENAL. Go forth with this information and do as you will. Try to get there before me though as I fully intend to buy every blahhdy pack of the stuff having tried inhaled a roll in one day this week. 

4. The Pride of Belfast

The benches outside are spaced to represent the final Morse Code sent from the ship!

I was a little unsure why a cruise liner that sank on it's first night at sea would be called 'The Pride' of anywhere but that doesn't take away from the wonder that is The Titanic Museum in Belfast. 

I took a trip up there with Mam's Stitch n' Bitch group on Thursday and was completely blown away by the back story (no Leonardos or French Girl paintings in sight). It's a permanent museum and 100% worth your time for a looksee. Check out my instagram feed for more pics from last week. 

5. A Moment to Top ALL MOMENTS

Moment five is one I've been looking forward to writing for almost a year now. Our Pops has officially finished radio therapy and is free from treatment!! 

It's been a long road and I don't think any of us have let it fully sink in yet but, for the record, my Dad's a serious bad ass. The whole situation has not only put everything into perspective for us but it's also made us realise just how lucky we are. I couldn't be more grateful and I certainly couldn't be prouder. The man's a bloody legend!
