Things That Rustle My Jimmies

Yep, it's been another week of relentless interview prep & post traumatic stress, Hunger Games style and if that wasn't enough there's been a bajillion tweets that have made my eyes roll so far back in my head that they've done a full 360. Above all else though, THESE are the things that are rustling my jimmies this week:

1. When a 10 Stone Rottweiler Headbutts You Straight into the Nose as You Hug Him!

2. The Office Window Opener in
ZERO DEGREE WEATHER!

3. The 'Vote No' Posters

4. 'Hiya Hun, I'm Thinking of Setting Up a Blog, Will You Send Me a Starter Pack of Products?'

5. The Douche Canoe That Set Up a Fake FB Page
to Announce Irish Krispy Kremes!

Tell us, can you relate? Are your rustled jimmies worse? Let's Chat!

Things That Rustle My Jimmies

You would think with the wonderful weather we're having that it'd be pretty difficult to have one's jimmies rustled - you'd think that BUT YOU'D BE WRONG!

1. Relentless House Alarms on Sunny Days

2. Anyone Using My Tweezers. For Anything. EVER.

3. Smoked Mackerel in the Office Fridge

4. 'I'm Voting No Because the Yes Side are Bullies'

5. Jamelia.

Tell us, what's rustling yours this week?

Monday's Moments - 16/02/15

Following a weekend of overindulgence in every sense of the word, any moment that I'm upright & fully functional is a Moment as far as I'm concerned. Tell me I'm not alone in this?

As for the week before? It was a cracker!

Cherry Pick of the Week: Róisín Ó - Hold On

We were delighted to be invited to pop along and see Róisín Ó this weekend in Whelans, the numb bum was a small price to pay to hear the Irish songstress enchant the room, hot on the heels of her German tour accompanying Ryan Sheridan.

Hold On is just one of her hauntingly beautiful songs that has stayed with me since Friday and you might even recognise Aaron, there from his recent acting part in RTEs Love/Hate.

If you get a chance to see Róisín live do please grab it with both hands. She's a stunning girl with a stunning talent.

Find out more here.

Cherry Pick of the Week: P!nk - Just Give Me a Reason

Hot on the heels of missing Mrs Moore Hart's Dublin gigs this week this weeks Pick goes to her once more.

Just Give Me a Reason is her collaboration with Nate Ruess of FUN fame but the vidjo sees her getting hot and steamy with her inked beloved Carey Hart.

Loving this tune this week and it seems to be gaining momentum on the radio waves too.

Lemme know if you got to see her this week and just how awesome she was live, g'wan, I can take it *curls lip*.

Things to Make You Go 'LOL'. Literally

Hey, Thursday, fancy meeting you here. Just a quick heads up for all you lahhhvely new followers *waves* each Thursday I have five things that have made me literally LOL. I'm not talking a smirk, grin or snort, I'm talking full on laugh out loud - the aim of course is to get you to do the same. Ready?

  1. This video of a dog eating peanut butter is seriously good. Not only the dog being a hooman but the chap videoing it had me in creases.
  2. Reasons My Son is Crying had me laughing maniacally this week. Not only because it's so very true (as any parent/sitter of a toddler will tell you) but also because I'm never, ever going back to that. Mommas and Poppas of little people, I salute you.
  3. This post about a bird on a co workers car is so random it's bloody hilarious. Even thinking about it now, it makes me chuckle. 'I'm so gorgeous I could...'
  4. This picture of Twitter doing what Twitter does best. Perfection.
  5. This blog featuring Angry People in Local Newspapers does exactly what it says on its hilarious tin. LOVE IT.
And that's them, five things that made me laugh out loud, literally.

Let me know if they worked for you and as ever share your link love in the comments and let me know what's making you guffaw this week.

Happy almost weekend, everyone!

Things to Make You Go 'LOL'. Literally

Happy Thursday afternoon, everyone. If you're lucky enough to be on the Emerald Isle then this is your Friday WHOOT! Either way, it's Easter Bank Holiday weekend, full of sleeps, chocolate and the clocks going forward DOUBLE WHOOT! There's been many, many things making me literally LOL this week but I've whittled out five that still make me laugh looking at them now:

  1. This picture sent to me by the eldest. Hilariously Jim -v- Dwight
  2. @SueKirk makes me laugh pretty much every day on the Twitter machine but when I saw her tweet 'WHORE!' with this picture attached I laughed so loudly I startled the dog.
  3. I'm not normally the biggest Jenna Marbles fan but this video What a Girl's Makeup Means is laugh out loud funny because it's very, very true. Check out the doped out doggies at the end too!
  4. There may never be an Amazon review to rival the Veet ones but this one on a 55 gallon barrel of lube comes pretty blahhhdy close. Well played 'Jerome', well played.
  5. This video of a baby laughing hysterically at her dog eating bubbles makes me well up with mirth. Definite LOL material. I'll be saving this one for cheering mahself up from now on.
And that's them! I'd love to know if they gave you a chuckle and of course send on the link love if you've found something this week to make you audibly chuckle or laugh very, very loudly.

Happy Easter, Peeps!

Monday's Moments: 11/03/13

Afternoon, everyone, how did we get on for the past week then? That had to be one of the most productive yet hectic weeks I've had - so much so that I was snoring by 9pm last night! I'll have plenty of products and goss to share over the next fortnight because of it so do keep peelers pelt. How about some Moments, eh?

1. You Are? You Are!

On Tuesday last, my Sis, Corrina, was invited along to The Morgan Hotel for dinner, the opening night of Swan Lake on Ice and an overnight stay in the hotel. Of course, her being a genius and me bring her only Sis she invited moi along.

We dined like royalty and had an absolute ball at the show but there was a Twitter DM asking to have a quick chat with me on our return. Turns out their very lovely Marketing Manager is a big fan of CherrySue?! She first came across my writing on Beaut.ie but has been following the blog ever since! I never fail to be blown away by the fact that people read these ramblings, truly. Anywho, the long and the short of it is that there's something verrry exciting coming down the tracks for CherrySue & The Morgan. Be sure to stay toooned!

2. Aaaalll By Mysellllllf...

Because we only left The Morgan on Wednesday morning and I had an event that evening, I was hard pressed to decide whether to leave the city or just, ya know, faff about. By the time I'd left D'Sis to Heuston, faffing about had won the toss up.

This is going to sound a leeedle bit weird but I genuinely can't remember the last time I was on my own with hours to kill. The Gorgebags have always been there (well since I was 18 anyway) and if I'm not with them, I'm with friends or family or up to my neck in work. I spent a leisurely afternoon perusing the shops (as if I have money) and even manged to squeeze in an afternoon date with Marky Mark and 32 pensioners (Broken City afternoon special in The Savoy). It was pure, unadulterated bliss and I'll be doing it again, soon!

3. Pour Moi?

When D'Sis arrived up on Tuesday she happened to have a couple of early Birthday pressies as I won't be seeing them. This has to be one of my favourite things to ever have received. Apparently Aoife (6) arrived into the kitchen before Corrina left and asked her to give this to me.

Made by her very own fair hands and her favourite beads, isn't it a stunner? When I called to thank her she said 'I knew you'd love it'. (Squee!) I love it so much, Aoife that I had to wear it to Jamie's Italian for early Mammy's Day dinner on Saturday night and it got more than a few jealous glances. Priceless.

4. Photo Inception

Karen's: Mine: Sue's
I had the very real delight of heading along to Arnott's on Thursday evening for a Clodagh's Cookery Evening, with Karen of the LovelyGirlieBits.com and Sue Conley of Brightandbeautyfull.com fame, we were given a full demo of a dinner party recipe by Clodagh herself then treated to the meal in Clodagh's kitchen while Bobbi Brown's UK Education Manager, Nikki Taylor wowed us with a masterclass of hints, tips and demos (I'd heartily recommend heading along)(Though I'll be sharing some this week too)

Even though Clodagh doesn't know it yet, she's my new best friend, here she is showing us her brand spanky blog that went live that night. I had to chuckle when I realised that the three of us had taken exactly the same photo to Twitpic. Great minds, right?

5. Fire in Our Bellehs

The final Moment of the week has to be dedicated to Mammy's Day. The very generous people at Fire Restaurant in Dublin's Mansion House invited us along to a VIP Mother's Day lunch to relax unwind and fill ourselves to the brim with stunning eats.

Because we're all Mammies around here though we decided to increase the party, I invited Elder Cherry and D'Sis invited her Maw in law. We thoroughly enjoyed the catch up over great wine and better food, so much so that we have decided to make it an annual trip.

An that's moi, stupidly busy but loving every second of it. Tell me, what did you get up to this week? Anything special for Mammy's Day?

Things to Make You Go 'LOL'. Literally.

Well last week's Things to Make You Go LOL post seemed to go down a treat, so much so that the word 'LOLoisseur' was bandied about - not by me, I swear. Anywho, I thought I'd share a couple more instances of actual, literal LOLs, ready?

1. David Thorne's entire site is hilarious but please, read this back and forth with his neighbour about a floodlight. Truly magnificent.

2. I've never been quiet about my Rideface grá but this clip of him with Will Ferrell on Jimmy Kimmel had me guffawing at my desk. The caption says they're selling knives, looks more like a gun show to moi...

3. Titled 'OH HOLY CHRIST', this gif has made me laugh so much that I couldn't even look at it again before linking it here.

4. A Bad Lip Reading of the NFL gets funnier the more I watch it. Must have taken blahhhdy hours to get it so right (so wrong).

5. You had one job, Phil! This picture tickles me even thinking about it. We can only hope the real Phil Tippett has seen it... and regrets his negligence.

And that's it, five more things that made me go LOL, literally this week. Do share your own in the comments, I love to see 'em!.
