Monday's Moments: 11/03/13

Afternoon, everyone, how did we get on for the past week then? That had to be one of the most productive yet hectic weeks I've had - so much so that I was snoring by 9pm last night! I'll have plenty of products and goss to share over the next fortnight because of it so do keep peelers pelt. How about some Moments, eh?

1. You Are? You Are!

On Tuesday last, my Sis, Corrina, was invited along to The Morgan Hotel for dinner, the opening night of Swan Lake on Ice and an overnight stay in the hotel. Of course, her being a genius and me bring her only Sis she invited moi along.

We dined like royalty and had an absolute ball at the show but there was a Twitter DM asking to have a quick chat with me on our return. Turns out their very lovely Marketing Manager is a big fan of CherrySue?! She first came across my writing on Beaut.ie but has been following the blog ever since! I never fail to be blown away by the fact that people read these ramblings, truly. Anywho, the long and the short of it is that there's something verrry exciting coming down the tracks for CherrySue & The Morgan. Be sure to stay toooned!

2. Aaaalll By Mysellllllf...

Because we only left The Morgan on Wednesday morning and I had an event that evening, I was hard pressed to decide whether to leave the city or just, ya know, faff about. By the time I'd left D'Sis to Heuston, faffing about had won the toss up.

This is going to sound a leeedle bit weird but I genuinely can't remember the last time I was on my own with hours to kill. The Gorgebags have always been there (well since I was 18 anyway) and if I'm not with them, I'm with friends or family or up to my neck in work. I spent a leisurely afternoon perusing the shops (as if I have money) and even manged to squeeze in an afternoon date with Marky Mark and 32 pensioners (Broken City afternoon special in The Savoy). It was pure, unadulterated bliss and I'll be doing it again, soon!

3. Pour Moi?

When D'Sis arrived up on Tuesday she happened to have a couple of early Birthday pressies as I won't be seeing them. This has to be one of my favourite things to ever have received. Apparently Aoife (6) arrived into the kitchen before Corrina left and asked her to give this to me.

Made by her very own fair hands and her favourite beads, isn't it a stunner? When I called to thank her she said 'I knew you'd love it'. (Squee!) I love it so much, Aoife that I had to wear it to Jamie's Italian for early Mammy's Day dinner on Saturday night and it got more than a few jealous glances. Priceless.

4. Photo Inception

Karen's: Mine: Sue's
I had the very real delight of heading along to Arnott's on Thursday evening for a Clodagh's Cookery Evening, with Karen of the LovelyGirlieBits.com and Sue Conley of Brightandbeautyfull.com fame, we were given a full demo of a dinner party recipe by Clodagh herself then treated to the meal in Clodagh's kitchen while Bobbi Brown's UK Education Manager, Nikki Taylor wowed us with a masterclass of hints, tips and demos (I'd heartily recommend heading along)(Though I'll be sharing some this week too)

Even though Clodagh doesn't know it yet, she's my new best friend, here she is showing us her brand spanky blog that went live that night. I had to chuckle when I realised that the three of us had taken exactly the same photo to Twitpic. Great minds, right?

5. Fire in Our Bellehs

The final Moment of the week has to be dedicated to Mammy's Day. The very generous people at Fire Restaurant in Dublin's Mansion House invited us along to a VIP Mother's Day lunch to relax unwind and fill ourselves to the brim with stunning eats.

Because we're all Mammies around here though we decided to increase the party, I invited Elder Cherry and D'Sis invited her Maw in law. We thoroughly enjoyed the catch up over great wine and better food, so much so that we have decided to make it an annual trip.

An that's moi, stupidly busy but loving every second of it. Tell me, what did you get up to this week? Anything special for Mammy's Day?

The other day, while I was
at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see
if it can
survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she
can be a youtube
sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I
know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with
someone!
