NOTD - Barry M's Croc Nail Effects

The grá is very strong with this one. Barry M's new Croc Nail Effects (€6.05, Boots) is the first 'effect' polish to actually WOW me.

I haven't been too enamoured with the crackle offerings over the past year, in fact, I only liked it in one mani where I used Graphite as the basecoat but this Croc formulation is something else entirely
.

The size of the Croc shapes depends on the thickness of your layer. You can see here on the index finger I used a much thinner coat to make a more intricate design (YES, intentionally) and on the others a thicker layer results in bigger shapes. (scales?)

The formulation differs from crackle in that it's a lot thinner, meaning it's easier to work with and dries to a high shine instead of matte, thankfully. It might take a go or two to get used to but it's definitely worth it for the effect.

I'm wearing it here over Topshop's Starlight but it's equally gorge over bright neons, white or other metallics.

What do we think? Will you be snapping up Croc Nail Effects? (fnar, fnar)
