Monday's Moments ~ 18/07/16

Can you BELIEVE that Irish weather? Glorious doesn't even begin to cover it. The world is a scary place right now but that sunshine goes some way to reminding us to be grateful for what we have. This week, the five moments I'm praising the powers that be for are:

1. Bringing Heidi for her very first trip to the beach.
She didn't like the water but loved the sand, was over friendly with the locals & ADORED the 99s!

(she even makes adorable gifs like)

2. Managing to catch the Q&A with Director, Andrew Stanton at the screening of Finding Dory last week.

One of the warmest, funniest and most engaging speakers I've ever had the pleasure to hear.

Literally my face for the duration:

3. Driving to Athy to surprise the Niblings for a sleepover - it NEVER happens anymore!

4. Managing to drive Coast to Coast on half a tank of fuel for lunch in Enniscrone with my real life Bestie.

We don't get to spend proper time together since she moved to Wexford so this really did the soul good, I haven't laughed as much in years!

5. Stepping on to the scales (after a further 3 weeks) and realising I've lost a full FOUR STONE now!!

I feel better than I have throughout my thirties and quite possibly my twenties too. I'm not where I want to be yet but I'm 3/4 the way there & it's changed my world. CHUFFAGE!

I couldn't let today's Moments pass without mentioning that 3 of the above 5 moments are thanks to Linder's Renault in the Pavilions for giving me a loaner of the brand new Clio as part of their #retailrevolution campaign. As I'd said I wasn't paid for the week but I am more than grateful to them for turning my week around. You never know, they were such a delight to deal with that that might not be the last you hear of me with 'em yet!

Tell me, what's chasing away your Monday blues this week? It truly is cathartic to share.

Monday's Moments ~ 11/07/16

That Monday very nearly got away from me, very nearly because the weekend before it managed! To say I'm been burning the candle at both ends would be an understatement but there's always, ALWAYS time to give thanks, right? In no particular order of deadliness this week:

1. Accepting an invite to be a special guest at the Voya customer evening in the Ice House in Ballina this week.

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it. Beauty, bubbles and a well earned break. They may not get me out of the robes now that I'll have room in them!

2. Second one, I'm truly not bragging, just incredibly grateful, is that Renault are giving me wheels for a wee while. Just in time to get my tuckus to Ballina to wedge into that very robe!

Road Trip. Caraoke. Is. ON!

3. Making it all the way home after Tarzan last week with a half dozen hot donuts under my oxter. The ENTIRE bus hated me but the entire house loved me once I got here.

Just as well the driver drove like he stole a stage coach because they were still warm when I shared them out. Even Heidi got her share. Cinnamon's her fave seemly...

4. Popping by the Argos 20th birthday party during the week and being transported back to Aaron's childhood. The year Teletubbies couldn't be gotten for love nor money.

I remembered buying the bubble baths (because the lids were the characters heads) and sewing felt bodies to go with. Aaron (2) was over the moon and I remember being prouder than I've ever felt that I could provide for him.

That was huge for 19yo single me, and entirely forgotten until I spotted that Tinky Winky lad once more.

5. The Snapchat Blogging Q&A I did last night being one of the most popular stories I've ever shared. That's thanks to you ledgebags sharing & shouting it out on your own platforms too.

Not only that but it leading to two legitimate offers of paid work today, simply for sharing openly & honestly.

Bloody marvels, every one of you!

So tell me, what's been chasing away your Monday blues this week?

It's cathartic to share ya'know?

Monday's Moments ~ 20/06/16

Let's be honest, I could write every single Moment about the arrival of Heidi to Casa Cherry this week but I'll try not to... OK, there's a couple...

1. Finally getting to bring her nibs home! If you haven't been following along, Heidi is our new pupper, she's an American Bulldog we rescued from Dog's Trust last week. To be fair we could rename her Rhonda Rousey because she be SWOLE but Heidi is her name & we're smitten.

2. Secondly, both the Gorgebags and I agreed to take part in the filming of a TV3 series for Dog's Trust to follow our adoption story & the importance of adoption over 'shopping' for dogs.

The lads did brilliantly, though there were a few tears when we spoke about poor old Diesel. It'll air in September and we'll be sure to tell you when to watch out.

3. Only bemoaning having to go back to the office after a glam morning of meetings & events, when I was presented with a Cornetto by a new colleague. We were having office ice creams just because. That's a thing now.

4. Adam sailing through his college first year exams. CHUFFED!

5. Making a habit now of Snapchatting Corrina's little ones when there's new filters available. We were in creases sending ever wilder ones back & forward. Forget Skype, lads!

Tell me, what's been making your Monday so far? What one Moment has mean there's no Monday Blues for you?

Monday's Moments ~ 13/06/16

Hello & Happy Monday to you! The sun has come back to join us, our boys in Green are about to take to the pitch and our world, in Casa Cherry, is quite possibly about to change - you best believe this Monday has its Moments...

1. I mentioned a couple of weeks back that I've been doing well in the weight loss fitness stakes - well this past week was spent trying on clothes that haven't fit in YEARS.

Not only is that the stuff of elation for me but these clothes aren't even in the shops anymore - it's like Win/Win!

2. The legend that is Aaron finding my lost voucher! I can rest easy that I wasn't unintentionally overly generous after all.
The Primark sports socks are on me!

3. Starting in my new Department of the IRL job. Not only are the people some of the soundest I've met, the work is genuinely interesting AND I FOUND AN EVEN BETTER HIDEY HOLE!!

4. Realising that I've full on turned into my Dad. When he came in from a pint or two he'd sit us down to regale us with music vids of all the greats, ABBA/Marty Robbins/The Cars/Bonnie Tyler...

It dawned on me as I squiffily Chrome casted Spotify Club Classics from upstairs to the living room where Aaron was sitting that the transformation is complete - #jesuismyowndad

5. We took the step to go to Dogs Trust on Saturday to see if they had a Rottie in need of rescue. Well... we couldn't pass Heidi... She's an American Bulldog, she's had a difficult start and she melted our hearts instantly.

She came to meet us at home & be introduced to Boo today - have a look HERE and see if you think she felt at home in any way - I can't stop smiling! Cross your fingers as we head into the next step in the adoption process!

It's been a little while since we've celebrated some Monday's Moments but you know what? I need 'em to give me a little perspective on what's been going on of late. So I'm giving thanks for the little things & the big things once more and chasing off my Monday blues with some Moments that make it all worth while, I'd love to hear yours too!

Monday's Moments ~ 25/04/16

What a weekend! Spent bar hopping, musical watching & makeup shopping in London with Corrina for my belated birthday trip; the truth is I may be delirious with tired in writing today's post. How and ever, I can't let a Monday go by without giving thanks so here goes:

Monday's Moments ~ 10/04/16

Spring has well and truly sprung, the evenings are brighter, the work diary is fit to burst and everyone's in great health in Casa Cherry. I mean it's not like I have to search far for Moments to chase away my Monday Blues this week but there are five stand outs - I'd love to hear yours!

1. Hairy Potter arriving home from Florida! I'm all for the lads being independent and spreading their wings but three weeks on the other side of the planet from Adam was beginning to give me palpitations. I mean, what if no one ever knew how to make my tea again?! I jest. He's home. I'm chuffed.

2. Diesel managing a full 25 minute walk like the pup he thinks he is after his stroke. Granted he slept like a log for 13 hours afterward but still. I snapped him with the Rocky tune playing and the amount of people that snapped back to wish him well or cheer him on. You're all bloody legends!

3. Aaron (@DieHardDublin) recording two slots for Spin 1038! He was invited in to chat movies with Gordon Hayden and had a fantastic time. Cross your fingers that it becomes a regular thing!

4. Spending time with little Alex, in Wales. With all the commotion I didn't tell you about his Toothless teddy. I bought him a Build-A-Bear teddy when he was a baby with my voice inside because we don't see him as much as we'd like. The poor child was stunned that my voice was his bear's voice, as if his Toothless had come to life, or at the very least, learned ventriloquism.

5. The Google Alert I have set up for social media mentions popping Rach's blog onto my radar! Read it HERE. Every Sunday Rachel interviews an Irish Beauty Blogger and asks about their inspirations or fave bloggers and little ol' me got so many mentions!! I'm over the moon. Thanks so much, ladies <3

Monday's Moments ~ 04-04-16 (with ALL the !!!)

Hey, All, how's your Monday been treating you so far? As ever there's a struggle 'round these parts to whittle the Moments I'm grateful for down to just five but here goes:

Monday's Moments ~ 21/03/16

It's probably just as well my Monday's Moments are written instead of vocalised because I'm fairly certain dogs would be cowering the streets right now. It's been a hugely exciting year 'round my way and the lifts just keep on coming. I'm a huge believer in gratitude paying a major role in the universe sending us more of the same, sure isn't that what this series is all about ~ as ever I'd love you to get involved, let me know what's the one Monday's Moment that you're grateful for? Wanna hear mine?

1. Thanks to you lovely lot, I smashed 10K organic followers on Instagram! No sooner had I changed my bio to say thank you than the numbers continued to rocket and have now passed 10.4k - LIKE WHAAAAT?!

2. Celebrating my Birthday with not only close pals but with my eldest boy too. There was a Moment when sipping cocktails and breaking it on down to Nelly in 37 Dawson St that I looked at Aaron breaking it on down beside me and thought - Life. Is. Sweet.

3. Our little Cillian marching in the 1916 St Patrick's Day parade. You'll see his gorgeous little mush on my Insta, thanks to Corrina (our Travel expert @StoneTravel). She designed all of the nibling's outfits and had four of her five little ones on parade. She's some woman for one woman!

4. Feeling the fear and doing it anyway. I was introduced to Gary Vee via Snapchat by Erika of Retro Flame a couple of weeks since. This 6 minute video had me hooked! As soon as I heard he was coming to Dublin I knew I had to hear him speak so I put myself out there and contacted Leading Social. Not only are they fans of what I do, not only were they excited to have me there but they've given me an interview with the man himself!! I'm beyond excited - be sure to follow along on Snapchat to see how we get on!

5. Being named as one of the Top 60 Beauty Snapchatters IN THE WORLD!! I'm very close to literally pinching myself over this one. I had to turn off my notifications on Friday as I just couldn't keep up. I haven't got the words right now to express what this means to me and for me but to every single one of you reading. Thank you. None of any of what I do would be possible without you checking in, having the chats and sharing what I do. You've changed my life. Our lives. You're all actual legends.

So tell us, what's the one Moment that means you've no
Monday blues this week?

Monday's Moments ~ 14/03/16

Morning, Monday, morning, ALL! How was your weekend? Mine was one of the most cathartic I've had in a very long time; in no small part thanks to speaking and listening at the Dream It Do It motivational talk held in Airfield by Nicola & Fiona. There's a lot of things of late seem to be going very, very right & not once have I had a let down that the very next day saw something better lift my spirits again. I'm not doing #BLESSED - I'm not!
I am looking forward to a week of Dublin sunshine & giving thanks for these five Moments though, ready?

1. I spoke last week on Snapchat about my experience with post natal depression and again candidly at the #didi talks on Saturday. Both times I had messages returned thanking me for being so open about it.

There's no feeling in the world like being told you've helped just by telling your story, something that feels like the most natural thing in the world.

2. Speaking of speaking at Dream it Do it, both Corrina & I took to the stage, which was such good fun. Even better than that? We brought Mum along to spend the afternoon with us and hear us speak.

Truly, there's nothing more leveling than seeing your Mum tear up watching you and your sister talk, or joining in to give her perspective on some of the most challenging times we've had. We wouldn't be us if it weren't for her and I can't tell you what it means to have her with me every step of the way.

3. Spending an afternoon in Dublin Airport, thanks to The Loop & MAC - surrounded by flamingo sweetness! I was invited out to play with the new Flamingo Park collection (which I obviously LOVE) and spent the loveliest afternoon chatting with the MAC girls & Sarah from Estée Lauder London & being GIFFED! Carslberg don't do afternoons but if they did...

4. Corrina giving me an early birthday gift - tickets to London Town!! We're heading at the end of April & still on the hunt for decent, central accommodation. If you've any recommendations - holler at me!

5. Being commissioned to write for Newstalk! Following on from my chat with Pat Kenny about monetising your blog, I've been asked to contribute as a writer. I'm over the moon to be asked and already getting stuck in!

Tell us, what are you grateful for this week?

What Moments mean you're free & clear of Monday blues this week?
