Things to Make You Go 'LOL'. Literally

Morning all, you can all thank me for the warp speed with which this week has flown in ALWAYS happens when I'm off dognammit! In brighter news I've five more literal LOLs to keep me and hopefully you entertained for a little while:

1. I'm more than partial to funny stand up but when it's advice that could also save your life? I'm on it. #LifeProTip Russians are terrifying. To everyone.  
2. Now I'm never one to side with the paps but as soon as I saw this photo of disgraced cabinet minister Chris Huhne I burst out laughing. You can almost hear the pap saying 'Just a leeeedle bit closer'. Sorry, Chris. 
3. This video may have been out a couple of months ago but Thanks to Skinny Doll, I was reminded of it today. We will marry your girlfriends is pretty much how we should treat all far right wing activists and extreme christian bigots, with mocking hilarity. Well done brahs. 
4. When this picture popped up on Facebook with the title 'They've been shouting at it all morning' I very near peed mah pants. I'm back to work Tuesday, you best believe I'll be printing some labels!
5. We all know our favourite national holiday is coming up this weekend. Every year around this time we'll see an influx of jovial American tweets heralding the arrival of St Patty's Day - eh, you wha? This year, this site has taken matters into its own hands and even has a handy live update with offending tweets included with the ability to reply directly and let the 'tweejits' know of their erroneous ways. Hilar!

Ok, give it to me straight, did you like LOL, literally? I'm watching the 'We will marry your girlfriend' vid again, that shizz may never get old.

Things to Make You Go 'LOL'. Literally.

Oh you thought I'd forgotten the LOLs this week didn't you? Well not a chance, there's been many, many contenders - not least the endless photoshops of Beyonce (This being my favourite so far) but there's five other doozies that I loved even more. Wanna see? 

1. This video showing the troops in Afghanistan taking off the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders move for move made me wheeze with laughter. Protecting their country and proving it is possible to be distracted from hot chicks in bikinis. Epic work, Sirs. 
2. Troy's Sneeze proves in 14 seconds why Community is one of the funniest comedies ever made. Lightening fast wit for the absolute win!
3.  This picture made me guffaw suddenly, it reminds me of one of my most used quotes from the awesome Leslie Neilson. RIP big man. 
4. The Worst Things About Valentines from The Oatmeal has given me words to live by this week - 'Less Complaining, More Sexy Rumpus'. Seriously, someone should cross stitch that shizz!
5. One more VDay nod for number five, this selection of Tryannical Valentines Day messages had me chuckling for days. FYI, I'd be thrilled with any one of 'em. Just sayin'.  

That's them, five occasions on which I laughed, sometimes maniacally but always out loud. I do hope you enjoy 'em. Lemme know if something has been tickling your funny bone too, ja?

We can all be guilty of misusing the term LOL online, whether that be because we've run out of things to type in the little flashing box or you really want to get to bed and can’t be doing with midnight texting. Occasionally, however, we find things that make us literally LOL, so loud in fact that it becomes a wheeze with tears of mirth to accompany it.

While I always make an effort to share hilarity on my FB page here, I thought perhaps to cheer up a chilly Thursday I’d try a different kinda blog post to see what you think. A round up of rollicks as it were.

I give you ‘Things to make you go LOL. Literally’ Enjoy!

1. This post from The Oatmeal is sad, then happy, then sad, then sweet but never less than hilarious. I LOST IT at ‘There’s a fire, pass it on’. Do NOT attempt to eat while reading it though, serious choking hazard alert. 
2. The Onion is well known for its tongue in cheek tomfoolery but this article yesterday almost killed me. Having known the occasional ex that just doesn't like to let go, this really struck a chord. I had to reapply mascara before returning to work having cried tears of laughter. Many, many tears. 
3. This gif called ‘How I drive all rental cars’, wait for it, had me burst out laughing as soon as I saw the flames. I’ve watched it approximately 23 times now. Gas. 
4. Although I hearted the movie dearly, this review of Les Mis from @andywestradio
   was almost my undoing at my desk on Tuesday. Cracking stuff.
5. I’ve mentioned the fabulous Blogger Bitches before but this tumblr made me honk with laughter in the Post Office queue yesterday. Attractive.
