Zerreau Towel Off Foam Shampoo ~ Dry Shampoo Fiends & Festival Goers Rejoice!

Zerreau Towel Off Foam Shampoo: £6.99 Here

If you know anything about me you'll know I'm no muss, no fuss when it comes to my grúaig. Dry shampoo, therefore is the one product you'll find in abundance about my person at any given time. The thing about dry shampoo, however, is that it can be serious trial and error to avoid a powdery 17th century peruke atop your head. Cue Zerreau Towel Off Foam Shampoo. It's a dry/foam shampoo hybrid & I'm loving it!

My first introduction to this tress game changer was as a deluxe sample in this months Glossybox. One of the stellar selling points of subscription boxes such as these is the discovery of products that might never normally cross your radar. I've since found that you can buy full sizes in Superdrug but if the reaction to my Instagram & FB posts are anything to go by it'll fly off the shelves.

I've just recently given my hair the chop and am sporting a layered lob so just 5 pumps of this foam, into the roots of my 2 day old barnet was enough. I towel dried roughly & brushed through. It feels like freshly washed hair straight off the bat, but that may be a lot to do with the fresh green apple scent. Because I had a minute I gave my hair a blast of hair dryer heat & followed up with a cold blow through. Gave it a little looksee and... blown away.

The foam shampoo gives my hair oomph from the roots, so allowed me to forgo other styling products. It doesn't feel powdery in the slightest but does have traction enough so that it stays put when put there. That evening's event saw the most impromptu compliments I've had on my grúaig ever. Naturally I answered everyone in a typically Irish manner 'This old barnet? Foam shampoo!'.

We've had two dalliances since and both times Zerreau hasn't let me down. It may be a match made in heaven, especially considering the foam claims to be effective enough to remove hair chalk and product build up. I can see a large size being flung in my backpack for this summers festival messing!

Have you tried this Towel Off Foam Shampoo yet? I'd love to hear how you got on?

Our Welsh Adventure - Dad’s Day Out!

visitwales.com

For those of you following me on Instagram: @stonebabies or Twitter: @stonetravel4 you will see that we have just gotten home from a cracking week in Cork. I’ll fill you in our budget friendly family holiday in the coming weeks but for now I’ll continue our Welsh Adventure with some more great spots to visit & a Dad's Day Out.

As we were staying with BattleDad & BattleMum (Our eldest Bro & his lovely wife) at the foot of the Brecon Beacons, my hubby decided he wanted to start his day out with a trip into the town of Brecon. It’s a gorgeous town with lots of Georgian & Jacobean shop fronts. The market town comes alive with hustle & bustle on Tuesdays & Fridays, the towns market days. First stop on Dad’s Day Out was The Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh located in the centre of Brecon.

It’s quite a small museum but they sure did pack in a lot of memorabilia. It’s crammed from floor to ceiling throughout with uniforms, medals, weapons & models. Our daughter especially loved the hands on part where you can don a uniform & hold a gun for photos.

The Museum encompasses the various wars & campaigns that the Royal Welsh fought in from the 17th Century to the present day. There are rooms dedicated to the Zulu war & Rorke’s Drift. If you have an interest in Military history this is definitely a place for you as it’s billed as one of Britain’s finest regimental museums. Entrance fee is £5 for adults £1 for children 5-16 & free for under 5’s, on street parking is also free.

After a lunch of traditional fish & chips we took a scenic hour long drive to visit the Cider Museum of Hereford. Here we learned the history of cider making, viewed their extensive collections of mills, presses, paintings, photographs, vintage advertising posters & much more.

The museum is housed in a former cider making factory so we got to see the cellars, the cooper’s workshop & the vat house. They even have recordings of factory workers telling the story of cider making from years gone by. Our children loved it as you got to listen to them on an old style telephone. I loved it too as I got to sample some fine cider at the end of the tour! Opening hours are generally 10am – 5pm, admission is £5.50 for Adults, £3 for children & a family tickets is £16.

I think if our Welsh travels taught us one thing it was that you really don't need to spend a fortune to have the best family holiday. Visiting local attractions and purse friendly museums truly have been the highlight of most of our trips. All it takes is a little noseying at what's close to your destination and chancing your arm. We've genuinely made memories that will last a lifetime and if we can do, you best believe you can do it too.

Tell us, have you your family holiday planned yet? We'd love to hear what you're up to?

Monday's Moments ~ 18/05/15

Morning, All! Was your weekend as lightening fast as ours? I'm guessing yep. No matter, it's Monday & with Monday comes Moments to be grateful for. There's been plenty 'round these parts of late:

1. Finally Giving My Hair THE CHOP!

2. Having a (now rare) Family Date Night for
Eats & Mad Max!

3. BeautyTeam.ie Giving me a Fab, Impromptu Makeover at an Overnight Vintage Tea Party Event!

4. Adam's Last Day in School EVER!

5. Aar Graduating his Computer Tech & Multimedia Diploma with Distinction!

It's been mostly about Mi familia this week and you know what? That's a Moment in itself. We've worked bloody hard together to get to this point in our lives and I couldn't be prouder of the lads. It honestly feels like we're heading into the next stage of our lives and that's more than a little emosh to think about. The years have flown!

Tell me, what are you feeling grateful for this week? It chases away the blues - I swear!

Mad Max: Fury Road - Movie Review

Who's In It?

, and

What's It About?

Max is kidnapped by Immortan Joe and his War Boys, and must escape by running away with Imperator Furiosa, Immortan's "Breeders" - women with healthy pregnancies - and the War Boy Nux in a giant armoured oil tanker.

Any Good?

I have never been so tired or sore after a movie, Fury Road is relentless in shooting, driving, explosions, and INCREDIBLY loud music. There is maybe a 10 minute break near the end, but even that doesn't last before it's LOUD NOISES AND DEATH again, I LOVE it.

The action is non-stop, from the first 5 minutes it's immediate punch and run, with Max escaping Immortan Joe's slave base by beating his War Boys and having serious hallucinations. The soundwork was fantastic in the film and was a real part of the action, every time the war parties were on the road there was a War Boy with a giant fire-spitting guitar shredding his heart out on a giant vehicle made of a speakers fit in perfectly - Nolan needs to learn how to do loud music from this.

Immortan Joe

This film really takes advantage of its 15A rating, having serious blood and gore as well as scenes of slaves being beaten and women being drained of milk (yep, lovely) as well as naked women, I'm surprised the American film industry didn't gimp it totally to be more family friendly.

I haven't seen the original Mad Max films in some time, but this really felt like the 80's style they were done in, as well as the original Fury Road comics and other films like Conan the Barbarian with giant mountain bases. Australian Bane is perfect as Max, and "the feminist legion" are great, and make sense dammit. I thoroughly recommend watching this in cinemas, and in isense if you can because not only is the soundtrack amazing but it uses classic 3D where things come out of the screen!

Things That Rustle My Jimmies

Not gonna lie, the past week has given me somewhat of a bating but you know what? Isn't that what the magical power of the gif is for? In no particular order of pissiness:

1. The Shower Conking out
When I'm Just Sudsing Up!

2. When People Form ONE Queue Behind Several Tills (J'accuse McDonald's Shams)

3. Teething at the age of 37 in the Name of Wisdom!

4. Conflicting Press Appointments for
ALL the Lovely Things...

5. A Catholic Religion Teacher, Who Happens to Play GAA, Spouting Unfounded Nonsense - UNCHALLENGED!

Tell me, can you relate? Anything you might be able to unrustle with a gif?
