Penneys Individual Lashes ~ Killer Peepers for Pence!

In the beauty world there are things that I usually shy away from. Think hair extensions, overdrawn lips & false lashes. It's not that there's anything in the slightest wrong with any of the above, they've just never been for me. As far as lashes go that may have something to do with one unfortunate encounter with a Groupon. My pal and I went in to the opening of a lash bar and I opted to go first, while she ran to the loo. Her eyes widening to saucers when she saw me reincarnated as Daisy the blinking cow were enough to put me off for life.

I was blowing over toddlers with the wind created with just a few bats of those bad boys and swore off lashes for life. That was until Penneys Individual Lashes popped onto my radar thanks to the ever lovely Rosie over at Hearts, Heels & Handbags

My Groupon Lashes - ONLY THINK BIGGER
It's been about six weeks now that I've been adding to my own lashes with these individuals for special occasions. Their light enough and quick enough to apply daily if you preferred but thankfully I don't have to (that's a lot to do with L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes Feline).

A word of warning about these lashes though. Do NOT attempt to use the glue supplied. I have no notion what they used for formulation but it's a pot luck between Pritt Stick & Super Glue, depending on the pack. Neither are a good look. Instead opt for DuoGlue, that's easily available from MAC, Inglot or right here from Amazon

How to Apply:

  • Place a pea sized amount of glue on to the back of your hand
  • Using a mini tweezers, or your lash applicator touch the lash into the glue.
  • Wait 40/50 seconds to allow the glue to become tacky
  • Place lashes as close to the lash line as you can manage
Using DuoGlue means you can adjust your lashes slightly if you move quickly but also once they're set, they're set. You don't have to worry about them for the rest of the day or night.

Eye, EYE!
Pictured above is just two individuals added to my own lashes. I use mascara before and after to add to the effect but you can see they don't look overly false. They give the eye a winged effect and, in the words of Sexy Flanders 'feel like I'm wearing nothing at all'. All of that and a €1.50 price tag? That's an all 'round win as far as I'm concerned & I couldn't recommend them more.

Tell us, are you a false lash fan?
Have you tried these Penneys Individuals yet?
