First Look Swatches of Free Leighton Denny with Harper's Bazaar July 2012

It has to be admitted that these are the glossy freebies that I was most looking forward to this Summer. Yes Nails Inc with InStyle were pastel gorgeousness and Ciaté with Marie Claire were luxe loveliness but Leighton Denny sits comfortably atop my favourite polishes list & these freebies do NOT disappoint!

There's 3 shades to choose from with July's Harper's Bazaar (€6.66/£4.20), each worth €14.30/£11 so, again, the math is simple. Not to mention the mag itself, chocked full of Summer Stylings.

Polish swatches, anyone?

Plush Pink

Plush Pink is a bright fuchsia pink cream gloss, it's thick consistency needing only one coat for opacity or two for a vivid pink result. It's fab!

SuperModel
You might recognise Supermodel as the freebie offered last year. It's a brown, beige nude that works beautifully as a base for nail art or a neutral mani all on its own. I used it in one of my first ever NOTD posts last year, a peach & nude leopard and it's been a firm favourite ever since.

Coral Reef
Finally, what has become an instant hit here in Casa Cherry, Coral Reef. Isn't it gawjus? Even as applying it I was muttering to myself 'Oh I do like this', now as I'm typing this post I've stopped twice to admire it. It's a bright coral pink with a silver microshimmer, dries to a high shine and has immediately joined the ranks of my favourite coral shizz this Summer. J'Adore.

Have you picked up any freebies yet? Liking the look of these?

Heads Up: Get Your Glossie Freebies From Today. Ciaté, Benefit & Leighton Denny!!

Ding, Ding, Ding - following on from last month's fabulous Nails Inc giveaway with InStyle the glossies are spoiling us with beauty freebies again from today! Wanna see what's on offer?

Marie Claire has a choice of 3 Ciaté polishes, some of the most beautifully formulated polishes on the market that sell for €10.50 a piece normally. There's a pastel lilac, a mauve based nude and a pinky coral. I'm so getting all three if they're on the shelf.

In Glamour, you have the chance to get your mitts on a Benefit mini. While I'm not crazy about Bad Gal mascara, Porefessional is the shizz as a pore minimising primer, or That Gal is a slinky pink version, hugely flattering for Irish skin tones. These are travel sized products but your saving is still worth a gander and a perfect chance to try before buying as Benefit can be spendy when you're not sure you love the product.

Finally, you've a couple of days to get yourself ready for this one but BE ready as they'll fly off the shelves fast. Harper's Bazaar have three hot, hot, hot shades of Leighton Denny up for grabs. These rank high in my favourite polishes, they sell for €18 here or €14.30 delivered from Feel Unique! Either way you're looking at a hefty saving and some fairly daycent polishes to add to your collection.

I'm going to be rich in mags! Are you tempted by anything?

Huzzah - Nail of The Day!

I may on occasion run the risk of being mistaken for Bet Lynch or more realistically Bet Lynch's grandaughter but who doesn't love a bit o' leopard?

For these prettys I'm blaming the influence of the, ever talented talon queen that is @_Lynnie_, if you're not already a follower believe me you're missing out. Another inspiration being the sight of my recent River Island purchase -

Ooooh
Aaaah

So how did I do it? Simples!

Starting with a Seche Clear base coat I then used 2 coats of Leighton Denny in Supermodel. It's a gorgeous taupe-y mushroomy colour. I'm not usually drawn to these shades but Harper's Bazaar very kindly offered a free sample last month & I have to say I love it. Its fairly fab as an office colour on its own, with one sparkly accent nail (This is me we're talking about) but I believe I may have found Supermodel's purpose in life.

Next step was touches of Essence Colour & Go in the shade 'What Do U Think', its a beautiful corally peach shade with slight shimmer on close inspection. I bought this at the start of the summer with high hopes but this is its first outing. You don't need to be too precise with your 'spots' I think it looks a little more natural if you're not (great news for my gammy right hand nails).

Your next step is to partially encircle your 'spots'. I used Kiss Nail Art Paint in, well, black. I have a serious love for these nail art paints. Bought them for €7.29 in Dunnes for a 3 pack, (Other colours being white & silver glitter) which is exceptional value and a secret weapon for cack handed lovers of nail art like yours truly.

Working in a busy office and with a lot of site meetings I usually prefer an accent nail so gave that a bash

But was quickly swayed to do the rest as I don't think its TOO in your face - please feel free to disagree (quietly)

So, one quick swish of Sally Hansen Insti Dri, a miracle saver for my manic life, and there we have it - The Lazy Leopard:-

No, wait.. There we have it, the Lazy Leopard:-

What do we think? Would you give it a go?
