Cherry Pick of the Week ~ Rimmel #Insta Fix & Matte Powder!

Cherry Pick of the Week this time out is a budget translucent powder that works as effectively as a product five times its price. The #Insta range from Rimmel haven't been making huge waves online, to the point that until I picked this up in Boots a fortnight ago I didn't even know there was a #Insta range from Rimmel, but this lightly scented mattifying dream has piqued my interest in trying the rest.

While the #Insta Fix & Matte packaging is, at best, functional, the product itself, in pan is why I picked it up. I'm a #MarketersDream, I've never denied that fact. It also meant I wasn't too concerned that weight to price ratio meant this was definitely on the spendier side for Rimmel. 8g as opposed to the standard 14. Still, at €5.49 I was happy to give it a whirl.

#Insta Fix Matte is incredibly soft & incredibly white when used like this but don't let that concern you. It's entirely translucent when applied with a light hand. Lightweight & long lasting, not only am I enjoying this as a setting powder for concealer & full face when necessary but also as a quick fix for a shiny schnozz throughout the day.

Leading me to the next reason Rimmel is this week's Pick, there is zero white cast on camera flashes with this fixing powder, which is the downfall of many cheaper matte powders.

I can see but two drawbacks for #Insta Fix, one being the slightly perfumed scent, like a sweet talc ( I really like it but know some won't) and the second being the smaller size for the price. Neither of those things, however mean that you shouldn't chuck this translucent pocket rocket in your virtual basket sooner rather than later. It's #Fab.

Suitable for all skin types, yep, including oily, you'll find Rimmel #Insta Fix & Matte Powder in most pharmacies online & IRL, or you could snap it up HERE on Buy One Get One Half Price from Boots. That's two for less than a tenner?! It's what a good pal would do.

Tell us, what's your pick of products this week? What are you loving so far?
