How did Tuesday treat you then? 

I just spotted Alisha's comment on yesterday's Chattery post late last night and it really got me to thinking. It can be very hard to complain about conditions in work or your job itself knowing that others would bite your hand off to be in your position but that really doesn't negate the fact that we all have crappy days some times. 

What do you think? Are we just putting up and shutting up out of gratitude for the work itself? If you could do something else tomorrow would you? AND if you're not working at all right now - does it get to you to hear people having issues? 

I'd really love to hear your opinion...

The Tuesday Chattery

Morning All. Well? How did the 'most depressing day of the year' go for you? 

I managed a lunch out and watched a movie with my parents, About Time, have you seen it? What a beautifully written movie with a great sentiment behind it. There was bawlage going on I can tell you and if you haven't watched it yet you're in for a real treat. 

I know it's Awards season but the movies seem to be getting bigger and better this year. We caught Dallas Buyers Club at the weekend and both McConaughey and Leto truly blew me away. 

Look, I know comments have been slow with The Chattery of late but I've come up with a pretty little plan to get our little community to life - all will be revealed very, very shortly but with the views that these posts are getting, I know hesitancy to be first to post must be a big factor. 

Please don't be nervous or afraid - if you've a dilemma going on, a weird dream you've had or even just need a rant and can't wait for the Jimmies post of a Thursday, you're welcome here as are your comments. 

I'll start us off after rambling about movies, what's the best you've seen in the past while? 

The Monday Chattery

Morning, All - is it just me or are the evenings getting brighter for much longer these days? It was almost 5 before nightfall yesterday and shizz like that just cheers me right up. 

I managed to pop up a post on Wet n Wild on Saturday to let everyone know what was on stands now so I'd love to hear if you picked up some bits? 

Other than that - how was everyone's weekend - too blahhdy fast like mine?

The Friday Chattery

We've made it peeps, my favourite day of the week aside from Pay Day!

Have we all heard about American budget beauty brand GIANT Wet n' Wild arriving to Irish shores? I'm off to Dunnes today to check it out. 

Apparently NYX is to follow suit very soon and Tarte will launch on QVC in March - we'll all be stunning, desolate but stunning!

Tell me then, have we any plans for the weekend?

Hola Thursday, one more day, peeps, one more day!

I should have mentioned at the outset of these Chattery posts that it's absolutely AOK to privately message me dilemmas or questions if you can't log into Google, even anonymously. 

Of course it's a place to chat but I'd love to think that we might be able to help each other out too - if you're a fellow blogger and you have a post that might fit the bill of someone's query do please feel free to leave a link in your comment. That's exactly what a community is about. 

There was a couple of questions in my FB inbox last night and you lovely ladies might be able to help with this first one - I have some ideas too but let's see what everyone thinks: 

'Hi CherrySue, I hope its ok to write to you with a question for your chat post. I'm having some issues with overheating in work and its really starting to get me down. 
I'm not a skinnyminny by any means but I shower twice a day, use every deo I can think of and still by lunch I feel I need to wash again. I don't think anyone has noticed but I do and it seems to be on my mind all the time. 
Could you or anyone advise as to the best product for me? Any help will be a help. Thanks.

The Wednesday Chattery

Howaya Wednesday, delighted to see you so soon in the week. 

The Chattery was a little slow yesterday and for that I apologise - I was off gallivanting, without promoting the chat so truly, soz. {though will share ALL of the photos of my escapades as soon as they come through}. Aaron was busy at the screening of Dallas Buyers Club  and truly reckons Jared Leto has an Oscar shot this year - he'll have a review up Friday and it sounds like a doozy.  

What are you up to this Wednesday then, back in work? On the doss? I'm heading to a Google Analytics masterclass this evening because I genuinely haven't the foggiest - all tips and tricks are gratefully accepted though.

Yesterday's chat was great in that we learned a lot about ridding oneself of the dreaded ronnie!

This morning my plan is a photo shoot with Smashbox - considering the only photos of me as a child were snapped with my Dad getting me in a headlock to get into a shot (I'm always amazed the Gardaí weren't called) - this is a huge deal!

How was the weekend then? A blur just like mine? I can never tell if it goes quicker when I'm busy or when I'm sitting, slackjawed looking at a screen or two. 

Anything weird or wonderful happen over the weekend for you? Shocked at Sherlock? or GaGa over the Golden Globes?

We've made it, it's Friday! It's been a hard slog but we're there! 

I've just been checking over yesterday's Chattery and there's a couple of dilemmas and questions that could really do with some advice. Can you help by commenting here? 

As for today, have you a beauty question or a burning issue you think the lovely ladies might be able to help with? Maybe you'd be able to help some other gals with their questions - it'd be great to have you involved. 

For my part, following on from yesterday's #LayaPendulum Summit, I had some very interesting chats and learned that inspiration, a sense of community and all inclusiveness is key to helping every one of us. We've come up with a little plan to help get The Chattery ball rolling and encourage you ladies to get involved - keep peelers pelt next week!

How do, we've made it to Thursday, that's no mean feat for what's felt like the longest week in the history of weeks.

Morning all, so while yesterday was a veritable tumbleweed fest apart from Avril, Thanks Avril! I've decided to keep this little feature for a trial period. 

As we were formulating ideas to help host the orphaned Blather, it came to my attention that the lovely EvieM was to directly relocate the ongoing chat to her site so that girls looking for the Blather particularly can chat there as I will be too from time to time. 

Not to be dissauded though and in the spirit of nothing ventured, nothing gained, I'll continue with this post and perhaps let people know far and wide it's available. 

So here's the deal: If you have a dilemma, a question or a comment - be that about beauty, lifestyle or life in general, leave a comment below and we'll do our very best to help you out. 

Of course comments can be anonymous so if you're struggling with something please feel free to share - a problem shared and all that.

Morning All and officially welcome to 2014 - that wishy washy week in between didn't count, we all know it didn't. 

I have been considering a feature like this for quite a while on this here site and with the unfortunate winding up of Beaut.ie (the Original Mothership) this weekend I ran a little poll to see if people would like a place here to gather their thoughts, mingle with like minded lovelies and essentially have somewhere to doss when avoiding work and/or life in the absence of the Blather. 

The reaction was overwhelmingly positive so as of this morning there'll be an open Chattery post each and every morning at 7am. 

We'll run it as a trial feature to gauge the need and want for a little spot of solace away from the prying eyes of Twitter and Facebook, where, let's face it, far too many people know us personally and hopefully it'll gather momentum. 

Just one or two house keeping bits, because I'm soft like that: 

• You don't have to (and probably shouldn't) use your real name
• Anything and everything can be discussed - yer at yer Auntie's
• Anon commenting is allowed but bullying or harassment won't be tolerated. Comments will be removed and commenters/IP addresses blocked

And c'est ca - that's it. 

As with every new venture, it may take time to become established but know that you're all hugely welcome to get anything and everything off your chest in the Chattery comments every day, we'll get the word out and we'll have a bit of craic with it too, yesh? 

Just to get the ball rolling, I'll tell you about my resolutions: 

I've just the two, one is to get back on my feet and move more since my bandy back landed me in hospital right through this New Year and the other is a new mantra 'One pump is probably enough' - I'll be applying that to face creams/eye creams and ehhhhm coffee syrups in the hopes of saving a fortune.. have you made any resolutions this year?
