Spooky Halloween Hair For Girls - A Simple How To

Who doesn’t love spending time looking at all the pretty things & genius ideas on Pinterest? I know I do. When I have the time that is. I love nothing more than looking at the photos & occasionally thinking to myself, I could give that a go. That’s where I got the idea of doing my daughters hair like spiders for Halloween.

We shared the best places for Halloween breaks this morning and these would be ideal to pop into your bag to do your little one's hair for their kids clubs and Halloween shindigs. It’s so easy to do you won’t believe it.

Simple bun.....

First you pop the hair up into a bun. I use the sponge donuts you can buy in Penneys for a euro or two, depending on the size you want.

Spider in bits!

These are the things you’ll need:
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Mini Sparkle Pom Poms
  • Googly Eyes
I bought everything in Mr. Price for €1.49 a pack(!) & I had enough to make oodles of different coloured spiders. Next simply bend the pipe cleaners into shape & glue the eyes onto the pom poms.

Scary hair!

Push four legs into either side of the bun, the wire in the pipe cleaners hold them in so no need to clip them. I then just pushed the ball into the middle of the bun & it held there no need to clip or pin that either, it stayed put all day.

Red spider for her twin sis!

Claire's Accessories have a Spider Bun Kit in stock this year & it’s priced at €8.95 for just one spider! Seriously. Don't say we've never saved you sheckles.

You can also amend this for Christmas & make a reindeer head by using brown pipe cleaners at the top for antlers. Add a red ball for the nose in the middle of the bun and put the googly eyes on the top of the bun - sure we'll give you a goo at that closer to the time.

Let us know what you think? Will you be giving it a go?
