Smooth Operator: My Faves for Soft, Supple, Summer Skin

Now that we've found ourselves in the Summer months (every other day) I try to up my bodily skin care routine as, occasionally, there might be more than my hands and face on show, not my hunchback though, never the hunchback.

There are a couple of products in my bathroom that have proven to give me the softest, most supple all over skin that I've ever achieved. So much so that I'm sliding around under my pjs here as I type, in a nice way.

Sanctuary Salt Scrub €12.60
First I use Sanctuary's Salt Scrub, it's a luxurious oily, salty concoction of skin polishing dead sea salts suspended in the most deliciously scented coconut, jojoba and sweet almond oils to refine and resurface the texture of the skin. Using this is a real treat any time of the year.

Solid Foot Scrub €8.75
Packed full of cleansers and moisturisers the Pixy.ie  Solid Foot Scrub is so much more than simple tootsie soap. It's an experience like no other for tired out piggies. With Tea Tree, neem oils, cedar wood, almond oil and  lavender essential oils all wrapped up in a luxurious loofah of cocoa butter. You'll be moonwalking across your carpet in no time following a scrub with one of these.

Common or Garden Cotton Face Cloth - Approx €3-€5
While I'm an avid fan of the Konjac sponge for my kisser, when it comes to your bod there's nothing that a simple cotton face cloth can't solve. I've found Muji cloths too abrasive, even for my, sometimes, chuck feed arms so these natural cloths make an ideal gentle but effective all over exfoliator.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse €30.95
Finally, once all scrub a dubs are done and you've rinsed off completely, while your skin is still wet, apply some of your favourite oil. I was an avid Johnsons and Johnsons Baby Oil fan for aeons but forget that shizz. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse has confidently replaced any other oil I've tried. Ever. For 20 years now this product has been an iconic favourite of 'slebs and plebs alike and I can see/smell why.

98.1% natural and packed full of ingredients such as Macadamia, Hazlenut, Sweet Almond and Vitamin E, its scent is bright, sunshiney heaven, citrussy with orange, bitter orange, based with plum and finished with rose, lily of the valley and white lily. I would urge you, if you haven't already, to get a whiff of this dry oil wonder. A little goes a long way so, while it's a tad expensive, your cost per use is more than justified. Once I've had a little rub down with this I rub my hands through the ends of my grúaig to ease split ends. Multi purpose gorgeousness.

And that's how and why I'm slip sliding away inside my pyjamas. It's a routine that works brilliantly for me and I'm sure would for you too if you're on the hunt for a change.

Tell me, what do you use to keep your bod soft and supple? I'd love to know...

that foot scrub looks deadly, I normally use one of them big pouffe ball things with my body wash and then my S&G body scrub and it really leaves my skin baby smooth,
